is it not sort of on a par with Scotland?
I've never been there either, but my friend went there last september, and said it was absolutely freezing.

Since I live here, I don't think its anything special. But, a lot of people who visit Ireland like it. Weather, I think would more or less be the same as England. But, its really bad at the moment which sucks since it is July.

I would say somewhere in the West like Galway or Mayo. Although, I have never been. Maybe talk to people that have come here and see where they went and what it was like for them.

I think the weather is the same accept maybe a bit more foggy in England.
It depends what you like, if you want to see beautiful quiet country then Donegal os lovely. If you want night life then Dublin is the best. You could easily do both country and city on a visit though since Ireland is so tiny.

From watching the weather forecast the weather in Ireland seems to be pretty much the same as in England.

I've never been to Ireland... I would love to though.

It rains more in Ireland than Britain. If you would believe it possible. That's why Ireland is always remarked for being so green.

If I came for a holiday, I'd either go to Connemara/Salthill direction, to Donegal, or down round Dingle Bay. Dublin is fun too, but the east coast isn't nearly as beautiful as the west.
