This disease has little to no research done, but researchers estimate that over 50% of the population show some symptoms of it. The disorder is characterized by eating roughly the average amount of food every day. On an subconscious level the person will usually seek the same type of foods every day at roughly the same time. The disorder is very hard to diagnose because the person usually maintains the same weight and most of the cravings are at a subconscious level.

I think that the first case of anorexia from what I know through my anorexia was the Buddha; 3 grains of rice a day to acheive satisfication, to control his life and to find the meaning of life. Anorexic? Severe weight loss--huge Buddha to Buddha that's almost dying of frailty from malnutrition. Proof Buddha is the first case of anorexia I can find however he's male and its not documented as anorexia. Well I know it is only not girls who suffer from anorexia. Well if only my doctor knew. You could say I'm lucky 6 stone 5 foot 10 just 6 months ago nothing happened to me my health was fine. I knew I was a male anorexic but the doctors thing its depression! Do they want me to die? I needed help and I would deny my illness, naturally but inside I wanted to be unchained from ana. So I contemplated suicide couldn't go through because of my family. Later on it ticks in my mind anorexia will kill me! To me that is the same as suicide so I thought I would get better for my family so I did for 6 fucking months gained 3 1/2 stone but I'm still ill-mentally. I've relapsed. But even before there are temptations-I'm in a supermarket and I wall through vitamins aisle and there's some diet pills its like I crave them like a kid who wants to eat a whole chocolate bar I just want to eat box upon box of diet pills. I'm left on my own to eat my food I can't do it I have to destroy it take my anger out on it- make it unedible with chemicals, set it on fire. Now do you see where I'm coming from I need help that's not there for me. I'm a 15 year old boy. I have as much right to treatment as a girl does?!? I'm a fucking human being for gods sake and so are all the other boys in this world with anorexia. People need to open their eyes especially doctors, my family knew I was anorexic but wouldn't say anything to me but the doctor over looked it. Anorexia happens to males and not just gay ones its discrimination I'm not gay but I'm sure people think it because of my ana. Please anyone who reads this there could be boys/men u no that have anorexia dont ignore the signs. We may seem mad at the accusations but really its like a tonne of weight is lifted of our chests. Help us get better! Please I know this isn't a very anoretic speech but I dont want to die but I know I willis I dont get serious help. <br> thank you for reading this I truly appreciate it <br>
